Nicolas Cage arrived in Western Australia on Monday to film his new film in the region.
And the first thing the Hollywood star did after landing was to go get food for himself and his family.
The 59-year-old has traveled to the small town of Busselton, near Margaret River, where he will film his latest film, The Surfer.
Cage and his wife, Riko Shibata, 28, walked into Busselton Food of Asia with their baby daughter, August, and purchased $400 worth of Asian products, including Japanese sauces, kimchi and fried rice, as well as eggs.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Annie Liban, owner of Busselton Food of Asia, said she was stunned when she spotted Cage and wasn’t sure it was him at first.

“We still can’t get over it. We didn’t really notice it at first. We are used to receiving a lot of tourists,” she said.
“He came with the wife, the baby and the nanny. We were like, ‘wow, rich’ because of the large number of tourists that come to the area,” she continued.
“He wore both boots and a jacket. I said to one of my collaborators: “He looks like Nicholas Cage.”
“We couldn’t contain ourselves. I saw he was wearing Prada sunglasses. I thought a lot of men around here don’t wear Prada.

Lebanon explained that Cage paid in American cash because he had not yet collected local currency.
Nic told him: “I’m really sorry I wasn’t lucky enough to get Australian dollars, I only have US dollars.”
Lebanon continued, “We said ‘you look like Nicholas Cage’ at the counter and he said ‘I am.’
“He was very polite, very respectful. They probably came from the airport directly here.
Cage quickly learned the local lingo when Lebanon told him he could buy basic groceries at “Woolies”, the nearby Woolworths supermarket.

Nick’s groceries included kimchi, a spicy fermented cabbage.

He also seized a number of Japanese sauces

The store also serves hot food and Nic ordered fried rice.
“He asked if we had butter or olive oil. I told him he could get it at Woolies and he said, ‘What is Woolies?'” she said.
“He was so down to earth. They did a lot of shopping. The baby was crying a little. So they just wanted to get it all done.
“Definitely the first A-lister to walk into the store.”
The couple welcomed their daughter August, who is Riko’s first child and Nicolas’ third, in September last year.
Nicolas and Rico met in Japan in 2020 while he was filming Prisoners Of Ghostland by Sion Sono.

He then went to the local Woolworths supermarket after telling the owners of the Asian store that he needed oil and butter, and they advised him to go to “the Woolies”. Pictured with a trolley full of goods after visiting Woolworths

After getting engaged over FaceTime, the couple married at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas in February 2021.
Nic will film The Surfer, a psychological thriller, in Western Australia’s most famous wine and surf region.
CinefestOZ General Manager Cassandra Jordan said of Cage: “It’s beyond exciting to be filming something of this caliber in our region.
“(The film) follows Nicolas Cage, a man who returns to his hometown after many years away from the area, and it is about him facing off against a local gang of surfers who claim ownership of a beach isolated from his childhood.”
