A popular powder supplement has been urgently recalled from hundreds of health stores and pharmacies such as Chemist Warehouse over fears it could cause “tingling, burning and numbness”.
Metagenics Australia Pty Ltd has confirmed it is recalling a batch of its Mega Magnesium Ethical Nutrients Raspberry Powder due to too much pyridoxine (vitamin B6).
“Due to a manufacturing error, the pyridoxine content is double the amount stated on the label,” the Therapeutic Goods Administration said in a statement.

The popular supplement powder has been recalled from health stores and pharmacies such as Chemist Warehouse over fears it could cause “tingling, burning and numbness”.
“This means that it slightly exceeds the maximum recommended daily dose of 100 mg.
“Ingesting too much pyridoxine can cause tingling, burning, and numbness.”
The TGA confirmed the compromised batch had been distributed across the country.
The lot to be monitored has an expiration date of July 2025 and lot number 007764.
Anyone with a bottle matching this information can return it to where they purchased it for a full refund.
“If you have purchased Ethical Nutrients Mega Magnesium Raspberry Powder lot 007764, do not use it,” the TGA statement continued.
“The lot number can be found on the side of the bottle, below the instructions for use and near the barcode. Return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
