Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay says she’s ready to have a second child with husband Brock Davies via surrogacy or adoption — two years after giving birth to their daughter Summer Moon after a tragic miscarriage in June 2020.
Chyna, 37, opens up about her baby plans during an appearance on Undressed with Pol and Patrik podcast, where she says she was looking into fertilizing eggs she had frozen in June 2019 — before her wedding to Brock, 30.
While opening up about her desire to expand her family, Chyna says she’s “not getting any younger” when asked if she would give their daughter Summer Moon – who was born in April 2021 – a sibling.
However, the baby’s mother says she does not want to become pregnant and give birth again – having gone through “excruciating labor” when she brought her daughter into the world. Instead, the reality star says she and Brooke will move on to surrogacy — or even consider adoption.
I had a very painful labor. We’ve had miscarriages before,” Chyna remembers. I think the next step will be to fertilize the frozen eggs. Find out if any of them can turn into a fetus. Think of an alternative. or consider adoption. Or even just consider rolling the dice and hoping for the best.

Preparing for a family: “The next step would be to fertilize my frozen eggs,” Scheana says (smiling as she prepares to freeze her eggs in 2019) “to see if any of them can turn into an embryo.”
Scheana’s baby journey began in January 2019 – about a year before she met her Australian husband, Brock, a rugby player at a music festival.
In that time Scheana froze 16 of her own eggs and shared the experience with her fans on Instagram.
Next to a photo of herself smiling in a hospital bed, Chyna discussed why she had the procedure.
‘Today is the day! Goodbye eggs! For me personally, this was a very easy, painless and wonderful experience. I am sure everyone is different.
I am single and nowhere near trying to conceive a baby. For me – yes this was an easy process and when I say painless I am referring to needles which I have no problem with.
Chyna shared that her doctors alerted her to a health problem, which would cause complications several years after Summer’s birth.
My AMH levels were only at 0.28 and for my age it was very low. That’s disappointing to find out.
It was an amazing experience to see all that goes into egg freezing. My doctor strongly advised me to do this to have a better chance of having a healthy baby down the road.
I learned a lot about fertility and all things egg freezing and IVF. You never know what will happen in life.
“I’m not trying for a baby right now, so this was an easy decision for me and fortunately I’m lucky enough to be able to afford it.”
Scheana remained single until November 2019, when she fell hard and fast with Brock.
In May 2020, Chyna told Bravo’s Maria Menounos that she plans to have children with Brooke, who was already a father.
I want at least two, and he already has two. So I think four, for him, is a good number. If by crazy chance I get pregnant naturally, twins also run in my family.
“If I ever had twin boys, I would definitely try again for a girl,” she said during the Bravo interview.

Second Chance: Four months after her miscarriage, in October 2020, Chyna said she was pregnant again with a baby girl who was due in April 2021

He’s “definitely looking forward to having one or two,” says Brooke (seen here next to his wife during their appearance on the UNDRESSED podcast in April 2023).
Two months later, in June 2020, Chyna revealed on her Scheananigans podcast that she had learned she was pregnant a few weeks earlier.
While celebrating Brock’s birthday with drinks, she begins vomiting. At first, I assumed it was the mixed drinks they were drinking.
After taking a pregnancy test, she learned she was expecting — and the two were ecstatic.
“I didn’t think I could get pregnant on my own,” Chyna said. Then she told fans the devastating news — she miscarried the baby.
While celebrating the amazing news, Chyna said she started “bleeding all weekend, and it just wouldn’t stop.”
The bleeding stopped when she took progesterone supplements, but an ultrasound later revealed that her unborn fetus was not beating.
There were parts he could see where the fetus was beginning to form and it didn’t. Being excited for a few weeks and then quickly disappearing. She said during the podcast that there is still a lot of processing.
Fortunately, Scheana an Brock got another shot at parenthood when she became pregnant three months later, in October 2020.

She revealed that their bundle of joy will arrive in April 2021.
Chyna gained 60 pounds during her pregnancy, and on April 26, she gave birth to their daughter, Summer Moon.
Doctors caused her to go into labor due to her pregnancy, which created another serious health problem for the new mother.
“Almost 24 hours after this happened, my blood pressure was really high,” Chyna revealed to her Instagram followers.
It got worse and turned into HELLP syndrome, a form of preeclampsia in which high blood pressure can affect the liver and kidneys.
“My doctor said I was lucky,” Chyna wrote, “and we caught it just in time for treatment because it’s very unusual to get caught so late, after giving birth.”
Scheana was put on a magnesium drip, which left her lethargic with flu-like symptoms.
In March 2022, Scheana and Brock revealed on the Scheananigans podcast that they had a timeline for a second child.
Brooke, who has two other children who live in Australia, said, “Me Definitely looking forward to having one or two… I’m open minded.
‘I think in two years.’ Originally, before I had any complications, I had a big pregnancy, and there weren’t even complications, so obviously we were in labor.
I was thinking like this summer we would try to conceive again so they were very close in age. Like, oh my gosh, that’s so close…not quite,” Chyna said.
Scheana and Brock discussed their upcoming baby plans on the Undressed podcast, hosted by fashion designer Pol Atteu — who designed her wedding dress — and his partner, Patrik Simpson. Their Showcase Dress in Beverly Hills is currently in its fourth season on Amazon Prime.
