An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car while her distraught husband was arrested by police.
The woman, aged in her 70s, was struck in a driveway on Nichols Avenue in Revesby, south-west of Sydney, at about 3.15pm on Sunday afternoon.
Paramedics attempted to treat the woman at the scene, but were unable to save her.
Her husband, who was at the wheel, was arrested and taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory tests.
The footage shows the distraught man holding his hands above his head as he sat on a nearby wall.
A woman was seen comforting him as he wiped tears from his eyes.
Two other women and a man also offered their support to the man.
Officers then escorted him to the back of a police car that was waiting outside the house.
