The Lord of the Rings: Gollum suffered from a difficult development period that saw the disclosure of the final release date of the game postponed on more than one occasion, and after it was announced that the game had completely finished development a while ago, we got more details regarding its time period.
while speaking to gamingboltHarald Riegler, the producer of the project, explained that the game’s events will take about 20 hours to play for those who play quietly and comfortably.
Given the producer’s comments, this “most likely” means that the game will take less time for those who experience the main events directly.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum takes place during the opening chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring, and as its name might suggest, its story centers on Gollum as he attempts to retrieve the Ring from Bilbo Baggins.
The game will take us on a journey through a number of iconic locations from Middle-earths, from Bard-dûr and Mirkwood to Mordor, and Gollum will have to rely on his stealth skills given his limited combat capabilities.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on May 25th for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
