The Real Madrid stars playfully mocked their new teammate Endrick after the Brazilian prodigy scored his first goal for Los Blancos.

The 18-year-old received a warm welcome at the Santiago Bernabeu following his signing, which came after the signing of former PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

However, Endrick’s debut in the match and his goal for Madrid in LaLiga against Real Valladolid caused several teammates to flood his Instagram and jokingly refer to him as ‘Bobby’.

The playful support comes after Endrick shocked the football world by revealing that his football idol is England World Cup winner and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton in an interview with Delantero09.

Although Sir Bobby’s talent was undeniable, the youngster surprised the audience by choosing a player who had retired from football in 1973, 33 years before Endrick was born.

The Brazil international previously revealed that he likes to select him in his all-time team in EA Sports FC 24, mentioning his name after the friendly match against England.

Endrick became the youngest player to score a goal at Wembley that night, leading his team to a 1–0 victory.

“Bobby Charlton is an idol here,” said the youngster. “To play in the stadium where Bobby played and to score a goal on the day Ronaldo made his debut is a historic date.”

He had another dream night, scoring a goal in a packed Santiago Bernabéu just ten minutes after replacing Kylian Mbappé on the pitch.

Just a month after joining the team, the player has already won the UEFA Super Cup, his first title in a white shirt.

His teammate Jude Bellingham was the first Madrid star to decide to support him in such a fun way, commenting on the player’s Instagram post with a ‘Go Bobby!’ accompanied by a white heart emoji.

Fans and other teammates were also quick to adopt his new nickname, naming the player ‘Bobby Jnr’.

However, other football fans criticised the player for choosing his current teammate Jude Bellingham instead of Neymar in another Interview with Forward09prompting laughing emojis from Barcelona’s Raphinha and former Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva.

Endrick’s £62m transfer plus £10m to Real Madrid was one of the most anticipated of this summer transfer window.

Los Blancos had to wait until the striker’s 18th birthday as FIFA rules prevent players under the age of 18 from being transferred abroad.

The youngster is currently preparing to face their next opponents, Las Palmas, in an away LaLiga match on Thursday.
