- Tyson Fury Reportedly Set to Earn Most of Nine-Figure Purse in Riyadh
- An unusual clause states that you have to pay part of your winnings to a certain cause.
- Fury and Usyk will meet on May 18 in a bid to become the unified champion.
Tyson Fury’s reported purse for his undisputed heavyweight fight against Oleksandr Usyk this month has been revealed.
The Gypsy King will face Usyk on May 18 in Riyadh in a bid to become the first unified world heavyweight champion in 24 years.
While Usyk is the holder of the IBF, WBO and IBO titles, Fury is the current WBC champion.
With both fighters still undefeated after immense professional careers, it’s no surprise that the finances involved are staggering.
Fury is reportedly signed to earn 70 percent of the total purse, according to The independent.
Tyson Fury’s reported purse from his fight with Oleksandr Usyk this month has been revealed
The Gypsy King will earn £81.2 million, 70 per cent of the £116 million purse for the fight in Riyadh.
And that bag is filled with £116 million worth, meaning Fury will take home £81.2 million.
You will need a creative mind to figure out how to spend that sum; perhaps he could refund most of the transfer fee his beloved Manchester United paid for Antony in 2022.
However, he will have to donate £1m of his winnings to Usyk’s homeland of Ukraine amid the Russian invasion.
That requirement is stipulated in his fight contract.
The unification fight was originally scheduled for February 17, but was postponed after Fury suffered a nasty cut above his eye while training, which required 15 stitches.
Fury has undergone a massive transformation as he trains for the titanic fight against Usyk, 37.
His strength and conditioning coach Kristian Blacklock said Fury was in the best shape of his life ahead of the Usyk fight, stating he was “stronger and leaner” than ever.
Fury shared his body transformation online after the postponement was announced, posting a photo of himself standing in front of the mirror during his camp in Saudi Arabia.

The Gypsy King looked considerably thinner than when he fought former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in October 2023.
Fury, who told Mail Sport he would always be fat during an interview before the fight with Francis Ngannou last year, could be seen sporting abs as he tensed up in the mirror selfie.
Carl Froch, however, believes that “it is necessary for a nutritionist to intervene” after verifying his significant weight loss.
But the trimmed Wythenshawe star recently insulted Usyk by claiming he could still beat him if he weighed 25 stone and drank 15 pints of Peroni beforehand.
Fury gloated: “I think if I didn’t train at all for this camp, just turned up 25 kilos and drank maybe 15 pints of Peroni beforehand, and then the next day going there, what’s he going to do? Even you bother me?
Let’s not take anything away from him, but he couldn’t do anything with Derek Chisora.
‘We all saw that fight and let’s not be fooled, it was a 50-50 fight, it could have gone either way!

“So no, unless you’ve reached 38, 39 in the last two years by leaps and bounds.” Is this guy going to kill me in one round? I do not think.
‘If I’m going to enjoy a real ding-dong, I’ll need at least 15 pints of Peroni. At least!’
