Manchester United winger Antony will reportedly travel to Spain before joining Real Betis on loan.

The Brazilian has not started any league games for United this season, but Rubén Amorim has used him from the bench.

Over the past week there have been progressive talks between United and Betis regarding their financial structure.

The Italian journalist reports that Betis will cover 84% of the winger’s enormous £200,000-a-week salary.

The loan will have a duration until June 2025 without a purchase option included.

Earlier this month, Olympiacos expressed interest in a loan deal for the embattled winger, but he did not want to play for the Greek team, Mail Sport understands.

Erik ten Hag made Antony, his former Ajax position, one of his first signings in 2022 in an £86million mega move, but things did not go to plan.

In eight Premier League appearances this season, he has logged just 135 minutes and has scored once in all competitions – a penalty in an EFL Cup match against Barnsley.

He has racked up over £25m in wages since August 2022, meaning that on average he has earned over £2m every time he has worked for the Red Devils.
