England’s first opponents of Thomas Tuchel’s mandate have been revealed.
Tuchel will officially begin work as England head coach on January 1, and his first task will be to guide the Three Lions to the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
In Friday’s World Cup qualifying draw, England were placed in Group K.
That will see them face Serbia, Albania, Latvia and Andorra.
England was eliminated by France in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with Gareth Southgate in charge.
The Three Lions were defeated in the finals of Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 by Italy and Spain respectively.

Tuchel’s first match as England manager will be at home against Albania on March 21, with that match to be followed by a match against Latvia three days later.
Tuchel’s first away game will be in Andorra on June 7, and England will face the same opponents at home on September 6.
England will begin their World Cup qualifying campaign with a home match against Albania.
