The revelation that Elizabeth is highly accomplished in the medical field comes in the wake of her son’s sexist comments during a commencement speech at Benedictine College last week.
‘“I think it’s you women who have been told the most diabolical lies,” she said, before suggesting that female graduates were “more excited” about getting married and having children, rather than pursuing careers.
“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly began when she began to live her calling as a wife and mother,” he continued.
‘Isabelle’s dream of having a career might not have come true. But if you asked her today if she regretted her decision, she would laugh out loud without hesitation and say, “Hell no.”
The irony of Harrison being raised by a successful career woman, whom he didn’t mention in his speech, was not lost on fans.
