While other former Democrats and liberal pundits have speculated about Biden’s ability to hold on to the presidency through 2028, should he win, two elected members of the party’s congressional delegation on Tuesday called on him to drop out of the race.
Maine Democratic Rep. Jared Golden, 41, now says he expects Trump to win after Biden’s terrible debate performance, while Lloyd Doggett of Texas, 77, is actually “fine” if Donald Trump wins in November.
The fallout from the debate disaster just five days ago has left the party grappling with its immediate and long-term future — one that presumably would not involve Biden.
Now, pollster Ipsos has put several elected and unelected Democrats head-to-head with Biden, and only one would beat him, according to its survey.

Axios Michelle reportedly told others that her friend had been wronged by the Biden family, who blamed Buhle for some of the lurid details of Hunter’s behavior that became public.
However, the survey only contains negative aspects for the remaining powerful actors in the Democratic Party.
Only Vice President Kamala Harris (who lost 43-42) comes within a point of Trump, according to Ipsos.

Other Democrats currently in office are doing even worse: Govs. Gavin Newsom of California (losing 42-39), Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan (losing 41-36), Andy Beshear of Kentucky (losing 40-36) and J.B. Pritzker of Illinois (40-34) are all behind Trump.
