Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly one of four Premier League players on Real Madrid’s list for next summer.

The England international has been linked with the European champions for some time and the Spanish giants could sign him for free at the end of his contract next summer.

As reported by the IndependentReal Madrid are set to flex their financial muscles next summer after their successful free transfer signing of Kylian Mbappe during the recent transfer window.

Real Madrid are also reportedly planning to sign Rodri, following his exploits with both Manchester City in recent seasons and Spain, whom he helped to Euro 2024 glory.

Real Madrid are then planning to sign one of the other two Premier League stars on their roster, Arsenal defender William Saliba, or his Tottenham counterpart Cristian Romero.

Alexander-Arnold’s contractual situation arguably makes him the most affordable of the four players linked to Real Madrid.

However, the Reds are determined to keep him in their ranks and it may take some persuasion from Los Blancos to tempt the 25-year-old away from his boyhood club.

However, a move to the Santiago Bernabéu would allow him to join up with close friend Jude Bellingham.

It would take an incredible sum of money to sign Rodri from Manchester City, especially considering the Spanish midfielder is under contract with the Premier League champions until 2027.

Their central midfielder has emerged as a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or given his success with both club and country.

Premier League defenders Saliba and Romero have also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham respectively until 2027.

Saliba has played a key role in Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge in recent seasons, while World Cup winner Romero has been a regular in Tottenham’s starting line-up and is a secondary option to the Gunners star.

Reports from Spain suggested Real Madrid have sent a scout to Sunday’s north London derby, in which Saliba’s Arsenal claimed a 1-0 win over Romero’s Tottenham.

Romero was beaten in the air by his Arsenal counterpart Gabriel for the match-winning goal.
