MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Philippines celebration of culture and heritage may have just held its first edition this year, but it has already attracted seasoned aspirants in search. The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageant also attracted some familiar faces who were on the official list of contestants.
On their respective social media pages, both searches featured candidates who passed screenings conducted over six consecutive Saturdays starting in August. The announcement was made on the evening of September 13, four days after the last day of selection.
Twenty-one applicants were chosen from the nation’s most inclusive application process, in which mothers and married women were also accepted. The age limit was 32 and there was no minimum height requirement.
The counterpart men’s pageant Mister Pilipinas Worldwide also accepted fathers and married men into the pageant. And while there is a higher age limit of up to 35, applicants must meet a minimum height of 5’8 inches.
Among the seasoned contenders who were accepted into the pioneer batch of Miss Philippines are Binibining Pilipinas, Mutya ng Pilipinas and Miss Universe Philippines alumna and reigning Miss GMADII (Guardians Magistrate Advocators for Democracy International Inc.) Joanna Rabe of Zambales .

She was joined by Miss Universe Philippines alumna Chantal Schmidt from Cebu City and Isabelle De Los Santos from Mandaluyong City, reigning Miss Philippines global model Nicole Lao from Manila and recently crowned Reyna ng Singkaban-Turismo Alethea Ambrosio from Bulacan.
The search also revealed representatives of the Filipino communities in the United States: Miss Filipina International 2022 Blessa Figueroa and Miss Young Philippines USA 2021, first runner-up Hanna Uyan, both fielded by the Miss Philippines California organization, and semi-finalist Miss Hawaii USA 2020, Isha Rose. Mata.
Perhaps the most familiar face among these gentlemen is 2020 Manhunt International Male Supermodel semi-finalist Daumier Corilla from California. In-demand model Aaron Davis is also in the mix. They join 15 other contestants for the second edition of the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageant.
The official candidates of both searches will become influencers whose task is to promote Filipino culture and heritage during the first-ever Filipino festival in October, through the “Filipino Food and Products Festival”, the “Music Festival philippine”, the “Filipino Fashion Festival”. Fest” and “The Filipino Film Festival”.
The winners of both searches will be announced in back-to-back events that will headline the Philippine Festival celebration, with Kemans as the presenting partner. They will each receive a mini Wuling electric vehicle and tailor-made trophies designed exclusively by Jef Albea.
The winner of Miss Philippines will have the chance to represent the country in the Miss Supranational 2024, Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 or Miss Charm 2025 pageant, while the winner of Mister Pilipinas Worldwide will have the opportunity to participate in the edition of the year next from Mister. Supranational, Mister International, Manhunt International Male Supermodel, Mister Global or Mister Cosmopolitan.
And while the search for contestants for Miss Philippines and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide may already be over, the Philippine Festival is still looking for participants for its various events. Those interested can visit its social media pages or email thefilipinofestival@empire.ph. Registrations for fashion, film and music festivals will be accepted until September 25.
Miss Supranational first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, who was proclaimed the first Miss Philippines titleholder by Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup in August, will crown her successor at the end of the women’s pageant. Mr. Pilipinas Supranational Johannes Rissler will also hand over his national title to his successor, just five months after receiving it.
