Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor featured a slew of new and returning characters from the Star Wars universe, but perhaps none more important than Turgle.
The giant frog has captured the attention of Star Wars fans with its bizarre tricks, and most recently game director Stig Asmussen has longed for his return in the future.
Speaking to IGN via Podcast Beyond, Asmussen commented on players’ reaction to Turgle and gave fans hope for his future return: “When you’re working on a game, you never know if someone will relate to Turgle.”
“I think actor Richard Horvitz did a good job with the character, but once the game was released, once you saw people’s reaction to it, it confirmed and validated a lot of the feelings we had on the team.”
Finally, when asked if Turgle could return, perhaps in a third sequel that the director hopes to develop in the future, Asmussen teased the character’s return and said he hoped so.
