Stephanie Chahan, Exosonic’s chief aircraft designer, said one of the main strengths of the interior design is its cabin flexibility to accommodate a variety of different passengers – unlike Air Force One, the president’s aircraft.

“It needs to be flexible enough to fit into a number of different missions, if ever in use,” Chahan told DailyMail.com.

“So it has to be modular enough for the Secretary of Defense to meet the First Lady’s requirements – whatever their requirements may be – and those requirements can vary significantly.”

CNN Travel noted that the plane could mainly be used as Air Force Two – which carries the vice president.

The jet features two private suites and luxurious furnishings and materials, including quartz counters and exits floors, as well as a wool-silk blend carpet – materials “often not seen on corporate jets,” Chahan said.

The custom rugs come from Michigan-based American manufacturer Scott Group Studio, which previously produced rugs in the White House Oval Office for President Joe Biden and former Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama.

Chahan told DailyMail.com that the cabin’s design and blue and white color were inspired by the executive and the peregrine falcon – a bird known for its speed – making the cabin “ neutral and soothing. ”
