Reggie Bush’s home in Encino, California, was reportedly burglarized Tuesday night.
Bush stopped the attempted robbery before it actually began, allowing no one to get hurt.
Bush has lived in the Encino home since 2019, and it has a beefed-up alarm system, as a home of that value should.
The house also appears to be gated, which would make it a huge effort for any burglar to break into Bush’s property.
Bush has not commented on the incident as police continue to investigate.
Bush last played in the NFL in 2016 for the Buffalo Bills, but is best known for his time at USC, where he had one of the most successful college careers ever for a running back.
In 2005, Bush rushed for 1,740 yards and 16 touchdowns, winning the Heisman Trophy.
Bush’s Heisman win was vacated for nearly two decades after it was revealed he received an improper benefit during his time at USC, more than 15 years before name, image and likeness deals were legalized.
His victory was reinstated earlier this year.
