Ava Phillippe, 24, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a nostalgic post as she reminisced about her childhood.
Actress Reese Witherspoon’s daughter has revealed she kept a lock of dyed pink hair when she was just 14.
“I dyed my hair pink in the bathroom when I was 14. I was going through some stuff and changing my hair was a fun thing,” she captioned the photo.
She sharing that the bold color change helped her “get through this growing up period,” as she showed the excerpt she found recorded in a journal.
“Nearly a decade later, I opened an old journal and found something I *really* didn’t want to forget,” she finished.

Phillippe is no stranger to dyeing her hair in colorful tones as she frequented red carpets with her mother as her locks were different fluorescent tones.
Having had pink and rainbow hair, she decided to give her natural hair a chance again as she got older.
Now, the Los Angeles native is flaunting her golden locks as she looks like the spitting image of her iconic mother.
She was born to the Legally Blonde star and her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe in September 1999.
The couple later had their son, Deacon Reese Phillippe, born in October 2003, who found work as a musician while attending New York University.
Reese and Ryan broke up in 2006 after nine years of marriage, although they were one of the hottest couples of the early 2000s.
“I was so, so young, I was ridiculously young,” Witherspoon explained of their relationship in a 2011 interview with Elle.
According to Marie Clairethe couple ended their marriage citing irreconcilable differences.
However, the two are sometimes seen together as they co-parent their children and reach important milestones in their lives.
“But I learned a lot. It was a great opportunity for me to really experience what it means to be a partner and to be married and it’s not something I thought it would be. You can’t say, “I don’t want to talk about that.” You just can’t. You need to talk about everything,” she finished.

Having attended UC Berkley, Ava is still unsure of what career to pursue or if she wants to follow in her mother’s acting footsteps.
