DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Reese has been on several dates with Haarman, 56, whose ex-wife, businesswoman Mala Gaonkar, 54, is now in a relationship with musician David Byrne, 72.
Haarmann is a founding partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm.
He was previously a senior partner at global investment firm KKR & Co. He shares two children with Gaonkar.
He earned a BA in history and international relations from Brown University in New York in 1990 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1996.
