Formula 1’s all-female feeder series, F1 Academy, is getting the Drive to Survive treatment.
Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company has begun filming an as-yet-untitled multi-part documentary series that promises to give fans a look behind the helmets of the sport’s up-and-coming drivers.
“What we know is that when we put women at the center, people come to watch,” Witherspoon said last week.
“We started Hello Sunshine to change the narrative for women, and Susie Wolff and F1 Academy are doing just that by creating new opportunities in the exciting world of motorsport,” she continued, referring to the series CEO and wife of Mercedes. The team manager, Toto Wolff.

“As these dynamic and fearless drivers break barriers behind the wheel, we are excited to partner with Netflix to tell the stories of these powerful leaders,” added the Legally Blonde actress.
Some of Witherspoon’s previous productions include the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, Hulu’s Daisy Jones and the Six, and HBO’s Big Little Lies.
The upcoming show, which will highlight “the drama of racing as well as the personal stories and what’s at stake for the drivers,” is coming to the streamer in 2025.
The news follows Kendall Jenner’s appearance in the F1 Academy paddock last Friday and Saturday during the Miami Grand Prix.
The supermodel and reality star, who is a Tommy Hilfiger ambassador, was accompanied by the designer as she chatted with Susie and some of the young hosts.
Kendall Jenner joined Susie Wolff and Tommy Hilfiger, whose brand is sponsoring the series.
