Reese Witherspoon didn’t have an easy time announcing her split from husband, CAA talent agent Jim Toth, 52.
The actress – who announced their split in a joint statement last month – felt stressed about the decision.
But a source close to The Last Thing He Told Me producer, 47, told People that she has “no regrets” about ending the union.
The divorce decision was not easy for her. It was difficult to come to the decision and make it known,” the source said.
“Reese is doing much better now. She has no regrets and is just focused on her children and work.’

The former couple are parents to their son Tennessee James, 10.
The Sweet Home Alabama actress also shares daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon, 19, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
“She has a large group of loyal friends that she leans on,” the source added. “There’s no drama with Jim. They are co-parenting and this is the focus.”
The Morning Show star and her ex announced their separation on May 24 in a joint post.
The statement read: “We have some personal news to share… It is with great care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to separate.
“We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for all we have created together.
“Our number one priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter.
“These are never easy matters and extremely personal. We really appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”
The Big Little Lies actress and talent agent explained that despite their split, they are “moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect.”

Reese is now committed to ‘co-parenting amicably’ with Jim. The insider added, “They love Tennessee and this is their focus. They remain co-parenting amicably. There’s no drama.’

The source added, “It was really hard for Reese to get to this point. They both concluded that this was good for them
Reese is a self-described Type A person, while sources say Jim is more “laid back,” and that was probably the problem.
Yet they are two very different people. Reese is stubborn and focused. Although he works very hard, Jim is more relaxed,” the source said.
But there’s no mess: “There’s no drama,” the insider insisted. And the people of Los Angeles will be there for the child. “They love Tennessee and this is their focus. They remain co-parenting amicably.”

The source also provided some background on the marriage. “After she was paired up with Jim, their relationship moved quickly. Reese was thrilled with his attention and excited to marry him,” the source said.
And Reese has been a very busy lady lately. She produced Hulu’s Daisy Jones and the Six and co-starred with Ashton Kutcher in the romcom Your Place or Mine.
She also produces the Jennifer Garner series The Last Thing He Told Me, a thriller set in Sausalito, California.
And the third season of The Morning Show is due to come to AppleTV+ later this year.
