Amazon and Hello Sunshine are also considering a second Legally Blonde spinoff series.
This particular effort, however, is in “preliminary idea stages,” the outlet writes.
The original 2001 film, Legally Blonde, starred Reese as Elle Woods, a former sorority girl who enrolls in Harvard Law School to get back together with her ex-boyfriend.
It led to a big-screen sequel, a straight-to-DVD movie, and a Broadway musical. A third film written by Mindy Kaling is also in the works.
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde followed Elle, a recent Harvard graduate, defending animal rights in Congress.
Legally Blondes, a direct-to-DVD movie, follows the adventures of Elle’s twin cousins who move from England to California.
The original comedy film completely transformed Reese’s life.

Reese celebrated the film’s 20th anniversary on Instagram in 2021, calling Elle “the role of a lifetime.”
