A source told People that Witherspoon is “taking things slow when it comes to dating.”
“She enjoys it, but she doesn’t want it to be the center of attention. She’s busy with work and her son,” the source said. “Those are her top priorities.”
In addition to Deacon, Witherspoon shares a daughter, Ava, 24, with her ex Phillippe, 49, whom she was married to from 1999 to 2008.
The Hello Sunshine mogul also shares 11-year-old son Tennessee James with ex-husband Jim Toth, whom she finalized her divorce from last year after marrying in 2011.

After letting it slip in March that they were developing a third season, Witherspoon said her co-stars began communicating.
“Then Laura, Zoe and Shailene (Woodley) called me. They all said, ‘Nic said we’re doing a third season of Big Little Lies,'” she recalled.
“But we are now!” Kidman said. “We’re moving fast and furious, and Liane is delivering the book. Yeah, and we’re in good shape.”
