Reddit went down for more than an hour for tens of thousands of users around the world — less than 24 hours since the site suffered a separate outage.
Wednesday’s incident appeared around 10:01 a.m. ET and affected the app, website, and service connection — and feeds not loading properly.
Downdetector, a site that monitors outages, showed more than 17,000 users in the US who had problems with Reddit.
The social networking site acknowledged the problem almost 50 minutes later and implemented a fix that appears to have resolved the issue.
Reddit went offline for users around the world. The outage occurred around 10:01 a.m. ET and Reddit “resolved” the incident at 11:14 a.m. ET
Reddit, a social network with a forum-style discussion structure, has about 50 million daily active users worldwide.
And while it’s unclear how many were affected by Wednesday’s outage, it’s safe to say many were.
Users flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations with the site not working properly and to see if anyone else was having an outage.
A user named Tommy Shelby shared a screenshot of the site and shared that the account is not his.
‘Yo.. @reddit this isn’t my reddit profile…. i think there’s a bug that shows someone’s profile as mine.. it even shows insights and stuff.. you’ll be in deep privacy s* ** if you correct this not as soon as possible.
Other Twitter users joked that now that Reddit is down, they should get back to work.
Many users were more frustrated that this is the second outage to hit Reddit in less than 24 hours.
The problem seems to be that feeds are not loading on both the desktop and mobile app.
And several countries are affected, including the US, UK, Brazil and parts of Europe.

Tuesday’s outage occurred around 3 p.m. ET and impacted APIs, comments, and voting on the platform, but was resolved two hours later.
Reddit isn’t the only social networking site to frustrate users, as Facebook Messenger crashed globally on Monday.
Users mostly said they couldn’t send messages, but others reported they couldn’t receive them and others reported they couldn’t even access the app.
Several countries were affected by the outage, including the UK and the US.
