Joy of K-pop girl group Red Velvet will resume activities from June 21 after taking a two-month hiatus due to health issues.
SM Entertainment, Joy’s label, announced their return to the entertainment scene through an official statement to Korean media. MBC News Tuesday, June 20.
“Joy, who was temporarily on hiatus from scheduled activities to recover her health and get adequate rest, will resume all of her scheduled activities beginning with the filming of ‘Animal Farm’ on June 21,” their statement read, according to a statement. Soompi translation.
Since his hiatus, the K-pop idol has “improved a lot in the meantime” and has decided to get back to work after “discussions with our agency and medical staff.”
The South Korean agency also thanked fans for giving Joy “a lot of support and encouragement” during her hiatus.
“We will do our best to support Joy so that she can continue her activities in good health in the future,” added SM.
Joy’s hiatus was confirmed by the label in April this year due to poor condition.
As a result, she was unable to participate in Red Velvet’s “R to V” shows in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Paris, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
