Recruiter Page Group’s gross profit decreased by a fifth by the end of 2020
The Recruiter Page Group’s gross profit plummeted by a fifth by the end of 2020 – badly hit by the pandemic and fears of Brexit.
It reported a 20.2 percent drop to £ 165.5 million in the fourth quarter. Fees in the UK, which accounted for 13 percent of the total group, fell by more than a third to £ 21 million – an improvement from the 47.9 percent decline in the third quarter, but it still marked a drop of year-round 40.1 percent to £ 81 million.
The workforce in the UK is 1,175. The group’s gross profit fell 28.2 percent to £ 609.7 million. Steve Ingham, CEO, said: “In the UK, we are encouraged that Brexit has brought some clarity.”
