Gaming Realms has welcomed a 47 percent rise in annual profits after achieving record sales thanks to more global releases of its Slingo franchise.

The mobile games developer, which makes and distributes Slingo games globally, reported pre-tax profits of £5.2 million for 2023, up from £3.5 million in 2022.

Turnover increased by 26 percent to £23.4 million over the year.

The company’s content license sales rose 26 percent in North America last year, helping to rise as more states allowed online gaming, while growth elsewhere was an even higher 33 percent.

It added that 2024 had gotten off to a “promising start”, with sales up 20 percent year-on-year in the first two months.

The group predicts further growth in 2024 as it expands globally, with this year adding 14 partners to operate its games, including Livescore and DAZN in the UK.

It also released three Slingo games this year, including Slingo Hot Roll and China Shores Slingo.

Boss Mark Segal said: ‘We’re excited to continue delivering new game launches.’
