Garcia reportedly lost nearly 100 pounds from her 400-pound frame at one point thanks to a strict diet and training plan.

There were further reports that he lost weight following the Nooch diet, which is based on deactivated yeast, and eating lots of spinach, other vegetables and protein.

In a March 2006 issue of Maxim, he revealed that he had lost 30 pounds, after causing health problems due to his size.

“I can afford not to live on rum and burritos and take better care of myself,” García told the magazine. “Plus, there were enough people who were expecting my character to lose weight as a result of being stranded on a desert island.”
