Rebel Wilson has opened up about her “dangerous relationship with food” in her revealing new memoir Rebel Rising.
The Australian actress, 44, admitted she ate junk food every night because she felt lonely after moving to Los Angeles and landing her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect.
Rebel revealed that she would struggle with her weight as she hadn’t been on a date with anyone in 16 years.
‘I eat so much that I feel bad about myself. “I promise to work harder and be better the next day,” he wrote in an excerpt published by the Herald of the sun.
‘”Ahhh, I’m Fat Amy now. I can eat this little tub of ice cream,” says the little demon inside me. ‘Maybe they need you to film again, you have to stay fat. Today you did sixty minutes on the treadmill plus weights at the gym, you can have dessert! You deserve it!’

‘But I know this behavior isn’t exactly healthy. I feel disgusting. And maybe if I lost weight, someone might like me? I would love for someone to love me.’
She then told herself that “no one will love her like that or ask her out.”
Rebel continued: ‘This seeps into my core. I haven’t been on a date with anyone in sixteen years. “REBEL” I say to myself. “Shut up and enjoy the banquet.”

Her candid account reveals her mother’s disapproval and alleged professional contempt from her male colleagues, which she faced despite refusing to conform to the toxic beauty standards of the time.
Wilson’s allegations emerged ahead of the release of her book Rebel Rising: A Memoir, which is scheduled for release on April 2.
