Rebel Wilson, 41, was motivated to lose 65 pounds after her doctor told her her fertility would improve if she got ‘healthier’: ‘I was actually a little offended’
Rebel Wilson lost weight to increase her chances of conceiving.
The Pitch Perfect actress, 41, has lost more than 65 pounds in the past year, and while she was initially “offended” that her doctors suggested her fertility would improve if she were slimmer and “healthier,” the comments gave her the motivation to tackle her eating habits.
“When I went ahead and researched fertility stuff, the doctor said, ‘Well, you’d have a much better chance if you were healthier,'” she said on Instagram Live.

“I was actually a little offended. Though I was taller, I thought I was pretty healthy. So that’s where it started: If I lost some excess weight, I’d be more likely to freeze eggs and get better quality eggs,” the star said.
‘At first it wasn’t even for myself, it was thinking about a future mini-me and their quality. That’s where it started.’
In May, however, the comedian told her Instagram followers that she had received “bad news” about her fertility.

No big deal: The superstar said she doesn’t understand why people are so obsessed with weight transformation when ‘there is so much going on in the world’
She wrote: ‘I got some bad news today and I didn’t have anyone to share it with… but I think I should tell someone. To all the women struggling with fertility, I feel you. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all makes no sense… but I hope light is about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
Meanwhile, the star previously insisted that she has been treated differently since losing weight.
She said, “I think what’s really interesting is how other people treat you. Because they were sometimes bigger, people didn’t necessarily look at you twice. Now that I’m in good shape, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold the doors for you. I’m like, is this what other people have been going through all the time? … I also find it interesting that people pay so much attention to a weight loss transformation, while so much is happening in the world.’

Even beyond the weight loss, it has been a year of change in the movie star’s personal life. She dumped longtime billionaire boyfriend Jacob Busch in February after dating for about a year.
The actress told Extra that the breakup wasn’t “ideal,” but that she was in a really good place.
However, some speculation about a possible reconciliation arose last month when her ex-beau left a suggestive comment on Wilson’s busty bikini selfie. The Anheuser-Busch heir left behind a series of fire emojis, essentially calling her hot, and she quickly liked his comment.

Professionally, the year is going much better for the actress.
She is in the process of filming two different movies, The Almond and the Seahorse and Senior Year, and she also appeared on the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Wilson recently posted a number of behind-the-scenes clips from Senior Year, including one where she twerked sexy while filming in Atlanta.
Hopefully, her upcoming movie appearances will go better than her last performance as Jennyanydots in Cats, which earned her a 2020 Razzie for Worst Supporting Actress.
