Rebekah Vardy will reportedly drag Coleen Rooney back to court over her “ridiculous” legal bill which includes exorbitant hotel and minibar fees.

Rebekah, who is married to Leicester striker Jamie, is expected to shell out around £1.8million towards Coleen’s legal bill after losing her defamation fight.

However, Rebekah, 42, has claimed Coleen, 38, has grossly inflated the legal bill, which includes a £2,000 charge for her solicitor’s stay at London’s five-star Nobu Hotel and a bill from £225 for food and minibar.

Accusing Coleen’s lawyers of ‘trying to pick her pockets’, source said the sun: ‘As far as Becky is concerned, they’ve been trying to pick her pockets because they think they can get away with it.

‘They underestimated their costs and are overbilling you. From expert witness costs to legal fees, the figures are ridiculous.’

Insisting that the lawyers are trying to take on Rebekah for everything they can, the source questioned why her lawyer would have to eat expensive meals and expect the WAG to pay.

They added: ‘Becky won’t stand for it. “He will continue to fight in court until he feels there is a fair outcome.”

A preliminary hearing at the High Court will reportedly begin on Monday where Rebekah will make her case and claim that Coleen’s claims are exorbitant and contain errors.

They reportedly believe he has been charged costs worth at least £120,000 which were outside the time frame he should have to pay.

Lawyers will also dispute what they claim is an unexplained six-figure difference between the expected litigation costs and the final figure.

They include allegedly inflated hourly rates from law firms Stewarts in London and Brabners in Liverpool.

His legal team also questioned how lawyers spent so much time on a case described as simple.

The Court will then have to consider whether it was reasonable for Brabners’ partner to stay at the Nobu hotel and charge the dinner and minibar costs on the bill.

MailOnline has contacted Rebekah and Coleen’s representatives for comment.

A judge ruled in 2022 that allegations by Coleen, 37, that Rebekah had leaked stories about her to The Sun were substantially true.

The WAG was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal bills after losing her High Court defamation trial.

Rebekah always denied any wrongdoing but was described as an “unreliable witness” who had probably deliberately destroyed potentially crucial evidence in Judge Steyn’s devastating judgment on the case.

The aftermath of the explosive trial continues with the two sides arguing over legal costs.

In May, Judge Andrew Gordon-Saker reportedly asked Coleen and Rebekah’s lawyers to settle, warning: “This could go on and on.”

In 2023, the sum of legal fees had not yet been assessed but was estimated at around £500,000.

Therefore, the final defamation bill is more than three times what Rebekah expected.
