Reba McEntire sweetly called her partner, Rex Linn, the “love of her life” as she gushed about their nearly five-year relationship after two divorces.
The Heart Won’t Lie singer, 69, who is currently a judge on the competition series The Voice, opened up about their romance during an interview with Us weekly which was published on Wednesday.
McEntire and Linn currently star together in the upcoming NBC comedy Happy’s Place, premiering later this month on October 18.
The star, who started dating the CSI: Miami actor, 67, back in 2020, spoke of her happiness, saying: “I have two fantastic jobs.” I have the love of my life, Rex Linn.

Reba also talked about their “dynamic” when they’re not on camera, telling the outlet that they are “best friends.”
‘We have the same likes and dislikes. We are food lovers. We love to cook. Each of us wanted to be a cowboy and a cowgirl. Then we got into the entertainment business. Our dynamic works on and off screen.”
He also spoke about working with Linn, explaining: ‘We love acting. We want to be prepared. So he and I rehearsed a lot. We did a Lifetime movie together. We did Big Sky on ABC.
“We’ve both been on Young Sheldon and now we’re doing Happy’s Place together, so we take rehearsals very seriously and we know our lines for sure. To have fun and feel comfortable with the lines, you have to know it. We work hard on that.”
But when the couple, who first crossed paths in 1991, are not on set, Reba revealed that they enjoy watching a good college football game.
‘If not, we rehearse or go out to feed the birds and water the rose garden. “We love being together.”
McEntire was married twice, marrying Charlie Battles in 1976, but they divorced in 1987. Two years later, she married Narvel Blackstock, but the former couple separated in 2015.
Regarding how her current relationship with Rex has “changed” her, the singer said, “I think we’ve made each other better.”

‘Rex brings out the little girl in me and I have fun. I’m stupid, I’m stupid. He is too. We love to laugh and we love each other. We both love watching television. “We’re always looking for a new series or movie to watch.”
He continued: “He says it’s his job to watch other actors and learn from them.” I do it for pure enjoyment. We’re streaming The Penguin right now.’
Reba then opened up about whether she would remarry in the future, telling Us Weekly, “It makes no difference to me.” I’m fine with the way we are.’
‘If Rex ever wants to get married, then we’ll talk about it, but I’m fine. I love our relationship 100 percent.”
McEntire also shared the secret of their relationship, saying, “I have his back and he has my back.” That’s very important. I feel very safe with Rex.’
Actress Reba and Rex first crossed paths in 1991 while on the set of the film The Gambler Returns: The Luck Of The Draw.
The couple reconnected years later and in October 2020, the actress revealed that she was dating Linn in her Life and learning podcast.
‘It’s good to have someone to talk to, laugh with and talk about what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress,” she said at the time.
As for how her current relationship with Rex has “changed” her, the singer said, “I think we’ve made each other better.”
And he really likes my music. “I’m very interested in his career,” McEntire added. ‘Whatever happens in the future, we are very stable. I hope to have more things to look forward to.’
And that same year, the couple made their red carpet debut when they attended the CMA Awards.

Linn took on the role of a chef named Emmett on the show, while other cast members include Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Belissa Escobedo and Tokala Black Elk.
Ahead of the show’s launch and in the midst of her role as a judge on The Voice, Reba opened up about how she’s stayed “grounded” throughout her successful career.
