An accidental leak from Channel 9 has revealed who will appear on the new season of Love Island Australia.
Eagle-eyed fans of the show noticed new Love Islander profiles being added to the 9Now website and posted the information on Reddit.
The site 9Now has since removed these sites, but the dating reality show’s new contestants have set the Internet alight with speculation.
The new contestants include a former contestant on Channel 9’s survival show The Summit, a former FBoy Island US winner, a ‘professional bikini athlete’, viral TikTok stars and a Love Island US alum.
Sydney Paight, who participated in the fourth season of the American version of the show, appears to be a member of the cast.
While 9Now did not have a photo of the American show’s finalist, a link with her name was posted on the site.
The decision to add an American islander to the mix perhaps echoes the addition of Lucinda Strafford from the British version of the show last season, with some fans claiming it will create drama.
‘Lucinda’s casting paid off with last season’s juiciest story. It was inevitable that they would try that formula again,” one fan wrote in the Reddit post containing the leak.

It comes as the new season of Love Island Australia heats up this year, as sources have revealed the 2024 series will feature a world-first X-rated twist causing a major “consequence”.
Channel Nine’s sixth series, presented by Sophie Monk, will feature Hotel Amor, which allows contestants to connect and swap partners without cameras.
Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal some couples are making the most of the opportunity, leading to more explosions and “mental manipulation” than ever before.
“The upcoming series of Love Island Australia has a twist that has seen Channel Nine review the Broadcasting Code of Practice,” a source confirmed.
“What ‘the Islanders’ do this season is X-rated and will have viewers more involved than ever.”
Hotel Amor is a shocking twist on the usual Casa Amor that separates couples and makes them meet other sexy singles looking for love.
Casa Amor, which is filmed in its entirety, acts as the “ultimate test” to see whether the islanders will remain loyal to the other connections they have made in the villa.
However, Hotel Amor will turn off the cameras and test the contestants’ loyalty without prying eyes, giving them the opportunity to lie about their infidelity.
