An Australian reality star has suffered a serious neck injury after receiving a dangerous prank while on a morning run.
Leesh Cunningham, who appeared on the first season of Stan’s Love Triangle in 2022, took to TikTok last week to share a warning to his fellow runners about the dangers of running in wooded areas.
In the clip, the F45 trainer is seen running along a trail at dawn, while telling viewers that she had just been cut by a fishing line that was hanging from two trees.
‘I don’t want to interrupt my career. But some idiot put fishing line on two trees. right in [the] cleavage,” she said, pointing to a painful laceration on her neck.
‘Seriously, if it’s kids, you don’t really understand how serious it can be. Especially running at high speed. Just there! Fuck,’ he continued, making sure to add a selfie that clearly showed his neck injury and a picture of the wire trap.

Leesh again lashed out at the perpetrator in his caption, writing: ‘Seriously, what goes through someone’s thick head when they do things like this! It could have been much worse!’
He also responded to concerned fans in the comments section, clarifying that the incident took place on a walking trail in the Killarney Valley on the New South Wales Central Coast, and that he had reported the incident to the police.
speaking to Yahoo! News After the incident, Leesh said he was lucky to have noticed the cable moments before colliding with it.

‘I saw him, but as I was running I didn’t have enough time to stop. So it still shocked me, but if I hadn’t seen it at all, it would have caused a lot more damage,” she said.
Leesh also admitted that she was afraid of being ambushed by whoever hung the wire.
“I was kind of frantically looking and screaming to see if anyone was there,” he recalled.
Placing taut fishing line or wire between trees can seriously injure a pedestrian and even kill those riding a bicycle, as hitting the line at high speed could cause strangulation or even decapitation.
The deadly danger posed by hidden wires was immortalized in the 1974 Australian film Stone, where a wire stretched across a road decapitated a motorcyclist.
Speaking with Yahoo! News after the incident, Leesh said she was lucky to have noticed the cable moments before colliding with it.
