England rescued a draw in the closing moments of their clash with Belgium on Tuesday night.

Kobbie Mainoo has given Gareth Southgate a lot to think about after his performance in England’s 2-2 draw against Belgium.

The Manchester United youngster made his first start for the Three Lions in the clash at Wembley on Tuesday night and managed to hold his own throughout the match.

As well as Mainoo, Jarrod Bowen also showed how useful he could be to Gareth Southgate at this summer’s Euros after another impressive performance.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Jude Bellingham scored England’s goals that night, completing solid performances with their respective finishes.

Here, Mail Sport’s Craig Hope provides player ratings for both teams.

England (4-2-3-1)

Jordan Pickford – 5

Surprise for the initial goal when giving the ball to Belgium. He bounced back with a couple of decent saves, but big moments like his mistake can be costly.

Ezri Konsa – 6.5

He switched to centre-back early on and was probably the choice of defensive starters, although that wasn’t particularly difficult.

John stones – 5

He was careless with the ball a couple of times before leaving due to injury within 10 minutes.

Lewis Mate – 4.5

It was a difficult night and Lukaku edged him out for second place from Tieleman. He has struggled to step up to the international level.

Ben Chilwell – 5.5

It was better than against Brazil, but it still doesn’t look convincing. He clearly needs a run of games for Chelsea before getting back to his best.

Kobbie Mainoo – 8

Great audition night and passed with flying colors. He was progressive with the ball and his positivity led to Toney’s penalty. Earn euros with this evidence.

Declan Rice – 6.5

Captain in his 50th game and grew in the second half of the game after a difficult start when Belgium won the first battles. He lost Tielemans for his second goal.

Jarrod Bowen – 8

He set the tone in the 60 seconds with a forehand explosion and was dangerous, always worrying his opponent. It’s a pity that the header was offside. He earns euros thanks to this.

Judas Bellingham – 7

Will will wonder how he missed a couple of close-range shots but redeemed himself with a cool equalizer at the death. Produced in a great moment, like him.

Phil Foden – 6.5

He came on much more in the second half when he moved to number 10 but, compared to the club’s efforts, he hasn’t looked like the same player in England colors of late.

Ivan Toney – 7

He won his penalty and took it very well, despite the long delay. Linked game, he was there and may have overtaken Ollie Watkins in the pecking order.

Manager – Gareth Southgate 6.5

He was brave to pick Mainoo for his full debut and was rewarded, but some elements of this performance, particularly in defence, will be a concern.

Belgium (4-3-3)

Matz Sels – 6

He did everything he could to prevent Toney from being penalized, but the England striker overtook him. No chance with the late equalizer.

Timothy Chestnut – 6.5

He outplayed Foden in the first half and also showed energy in attack.

Zenón Debast – 6.5

Brilliant blocking to deny Foden an equalizer in the second half and was a key part of the resistance, at least until the final minute.

Jan Vertonghen – 6

He’s 36 now, and he showed it when Toney made it a yard off pace before conceding the penalty. But he bounced back and showed that he still belongs at this level.

Arthur’s Theater – 6.5

He advanced well and was unlucky when a ball that passed through the goal went without receivers. Good battle with Bowen.

Youri Tielemans – 9

The most outstanding player in the game by far. Intelligent first goal and wonderful second with a header after the initial play. Smart in possession at all times.

Tielemans gave Belgium the lead twice the night before Bellingham's late goal.

Amadou Onana – 7

Great touch to set up Tieleman’s first goal and the Everton man had a great presence at the base of midfield.

Orel Mangala – 6.5

A tidy midfield display and a couple of testing passes.

Jeremy Doku – 8

He looked like the fast and direct winger of his first weeks at City. A real threat.

Romelu Lukaku – 8

Tormented Dunk and his cross for Tielemans to head in was sublime. He was a handful and this was his best game on these shores in some time.

Leandro Trossard – 7

Some lovely touches early on as Belgium broke into rhythm and purpose. He was a big part of that.

Romelu Lukaku was present up top and provided an impressive assist for Tielemans' second.
