Lopez is expected to start his life at Real Madrid in Castilla’s reserve squad, who play at the same level as Deportivo but in a different division.
But as the club has shown a tendency to spend and attract younger talent, Lopez is expected to soon start making a case to join the first-team roster.
Gareth Bale has already left Real this summer, and Isco is also expected to leave. The club is also listening to offers for midfielders Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti bolsters his roster with more youth talent in Lopez
With Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the twilight of their careers, Lopez could eventually join Real’s midfield alongside French superstar Eduardo Camavinga.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are reportedly considering a shocking bid for Tottenham forward and Premier League Golden Boot winner Son Heung-min.
