Real Madrid shows no weakness in final Champions League test

Date:

The Spanish top club Real Madrid got in the mood for the quarter-final second leg in the Champions League at Chelsea with a superior victory.

With national player Antonio Rüdiger in the starting eleven but without former world champion Toni Kroos in the squad, Real won 2-0 (0-0) in the Primera División at FC Cádiz. Madrid missed numerous chances in front of the goals of Nacho Fernández (72nd) and Marco Asensio (76th).

Real won the first leg in the premier class 2-0, the decision will be made on Tuesday (9 p.m.) in London.

In the domestic league, the three points only help the record champions to a limited extent. The gap between the second-placed side and FC Barcelona is still ten points with one game more.

The Catalans play Getafe FC on Sunday (4:15 p.m.) and can extend their lead again.
