Real Madrid players will wear the No.20 shirt as a sign of solidarity with team-mate Vinicius Jr who suffered racist abuse during last weekend’s game against Valencia.
The club’s Twitter and Instagram accounts posted a video from the team’s dressing room, focusing on the shirts laid out around the benches which all featured the winger’s number 20 and his name.
The Tweet was captioned: “Today we all wear 20’s!”
The Real Madrid players entered the pitch wearing the shirts and were seen lined up with their backs to the stands before the game kicked off to show the numbers on the back of their shirts.
It comes after the Brazilian striker was racially abused in Madrid’s 1-0 loss to Valencia on Sunday and faced discrimination throughout the season.

He received a red card during the game for hitting Hugo Duro but it was announced yesterday that he will be sent off and face no further action, while Valencia’s Mario stand Mario Kempes received ordered to close for five matches. Valencia were also fined £40,000 following the incident.
Vinicius Jr hasn’t made Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for tonight’s game at the Bernabeu either, after suffering a knee injury.
The 22-year-old claimed after the game against Valencia that ‘LaLiga belongs to the racists’, it was one of the many occasions this season when the Brazilian striker faced discrimination.
