Eden Hazard is delighted with the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the new manager of Real Madrid.
The Belgian has been a huge disappointment at the Bernabeu since he joined in 2019 for £103 million, plus add-ons.
He has suffered a host of injuries and has never been able to find his best form, but now the ex-Chelsea man feels he can thrive under Ancelotti.
Eden Hazard spoke about how much he is looking forward to working with Carlo Ancelotti
Hazard told RTBF: “Everyone at Real Madrid knows what Ancelotti has brought to the club.
“He won the Champions League with this group and he knows a lot of players. We know that he is a coach with a lot of experience.
“He knows the city and the fans. I think we can do great things together.
“I don’t know him personally, but from what I’ve heard from him, he’s a really nice person who just wants to win, and that’s what we all want.
‘We get the chance to work together. It’s good news for me.’

Hazard also praised Zidane, who decided to leave at the end of a season without trophies at Real.
He added: “It was great to be around him every day as the coach of Real Madrid. Being coached by your idol, there is nothing better.’
Last season, Hazard started just 14 LaLiga games, scoring one goal and providing a total of three assists.
Real thought they were signing a Galactico when he came to the club and will expect more output from him next season. It is clear that Ancelotti sees him as an important part of his plans.
When unveiling the manager, he said: ‘Hazard is a top player. He’s had problems with injuries and still doesn’t have the potential that he has brought out, but he will because he has the desire to do that.”
