Rodrygo Goes made a sensational start to life at Real Madrid with a goal with practically his first touch after coming on as a second half substitute.
The 18-year-old has been left with one foot in the first team camp and the other in the B-team so far this season. That’s an awkward position just ask Martin Odegaard, who had to go out on loan to get his career back on track, found out.
But after coming on at minute 71 he took just two minutes to make his debut as memorable as Ansu Fati has been making his first steps at Barcelona.

The future looks bright and very Brazilian for Real Madrid because the player Rodrygo replaced in the second half, Vinicius, also scored a spectacular strike in the win over Osasuna.
Vinicius, one year older than Rodrygo, was in tears when his curling first half effort from Toni Kroos’ pass hit the back of the net.
He has been teased for some poor finishing but this was special and capped an excellent first half performance from the winger.
Both Vinicius and Rodrygo fully justified coach Zinedine Zidane’s decision to rest most of his first choice players ahead of Saturday’s Madrid derby.
With Marcelo and Ferland Mendy injured Nacho had to fill in at left-back for Madrid with Sergio Ramos partnering Militao so Raphael Varane could rest.
Dani Carvajal also took the night off and his replacement Alvaro Odriozola produced a brilliant run in the first half that almost broke the deadlock before Vinicius’ goal.
Fede Valverde joined Casemiro and Kroos in midfield as Luka Modric missed another match injured.

Up front Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema all rested while Vinicius started alongside Lucas and Luca Jovic.
The latter two combined in the second half and Jovic scored what looked like his first goal for Real Madrid but VAR spoilt the fun with one of those offside calls in the which the player penalized has 99 per cent of his body level with the last defender.
It didn’t matter as Rodrygo doubled Madrid’s lead. Alphonse Areola, who was also making his debut as Zidane rested Thibaut Courtois, kept a clean sheet.
The French coach had shuffled his pack with one eye on the derby but still come up all aces.
Madrid now go into Saturday’s capital showdown top of La Liga and with their first team players nicely rested. They will also face an Atletico side without Alvaro Morata who saw red in their win over Mallorca.
It was a great night for Real Madrid – just seven days on from what seemed like the end of the team and the coach’s world at the Parc des Prinices.
