The Real Housewives of Melbourne finally confirmed the official cast for the highly anticipated fifth season this week.
And while many old favorites such as Gina Liano and Gamble Breaux are back, a memorable housewife who was missing in the cast is villain Pettifleur Berenger.
Fans responded strongly to the announcement of the casting, with many rushing to social media to demand that Pettifleur return to the series.

“Now we only need Pettifleur and we have a winning cast,” said a tweet.

“I’ll be honest, I was a little hoping for Pettifleur and her special kind of narcissistic delusions would be brought back,” admitted another.
A fan was so distraught about Pettifleur’s absence that they said they should “take a Xanax” to calm down.

The little Pettifleur is one of the most controversial housewives who has appeared in the series over the years.
In seasons two and three, the 54-year-old was involved in some of the show’s most memorable feud.
In season three, she accused Gamble Breaux of meeting her husband on a Sugar Daddy website.
She then argued with former BFF Lydia Schiavello in front of her stern before she collided with Jackie Gillies when the clairvoyant would not use her powers to find the misplaced birth certificate of Pettifleur’s son.

The tensions reached the boiling point in Dubai, when the outspoken socialite threw an iconic tantrum during a dinner in the middle of the desert.
Earlier this week, Foxtel confirmed that Gina, Gamble, Lydia and Janet Roach would all be back for season five of the series.
They will also be accompanied by three brand new Housewives: former CNN news anchor Anjali Rao, yoga teacher Cherry Dipietrantonio and ‘champagne educator’ Kyla Kirkpatrick.

Jackie Gillies, Venus Behbahani-Clark and Sally Bloomfield are not coming back.
Gina recently revealed that she hardly returned to the show due to the pressure of fame.

Gina had previously told Foxtel show runners that she would not return to RHOM if her rival Sally Bloomfield remained a cast member.

Foxtel’s television executive director Brian Walsh told The Kyle and Jackie O Show in September last year that Gina demanded that her nemesis be played on the screen.
“Where we left it last season is that Gina said she wouldn’t come back to the show if Sally was part of the series, and that took us some time to resolve how we proceed,” Brian said at the time .
The new season starts in March and will be broadcast on Foxtel later this year.
