An unidentified man (pictured) has been roaming the gated community of Clearwood in Thurston County, Washington State, for the past week.

A homeowner was left stunned after being targeted by a “friendly criminal” who broke into his house, made himself spaghetti, washed his dishes and left him a very strange note.

An as-yet-unidentified man has been prowling the gated community of Clearwood in Thurston County, Washington state, for the past week, breaking into people’s cars and property.

Several homeowners in the area have revealed their strange experiences with the man.

Eddie Andujo, a local resident, told K5 he thought he was being pranked when he first saw the note on his kitchen table on Friday, which read: “I needed food urgently. I broke into your house. Please forgive me. I ate your food, washed my clothes and took a shower.

Andujo said the note had an additional note, which said: ‘PS: Your popcorn maker wasn’t working properly.’

The note read: “I needed food urgently. I broke into your house. Please forgive me. I ate your food, washed my clothes and took a shower. PS: Your popcorn maker was not working properly.”

The owner of the house added: “He made spaghetti. But the funniest thing is that he washed the dishes. I guess he was a good thief, I don’t know… and he folded the blankets he used.”

But others in the area are not happy with the series of incidents.

Local woman Bethany Stirber said: ‘He broke into my car and took my garage and gate keys.

“He tried to get into my garage while I was home and we scared him off, but then he keeps coming back. And every time we call the police, it’s just too much… there’s just too much time.”

Locals are concerned that the unidentified man (pictured outside a Clearwood home) could cause some damage to their property.

Homeowners are concerned that the lack of cell service in the area will make the problem worse.

Stirber said: “I caught him again on Sunday. I called 911. I could hear them, but they couldn’t hear me. And they didn’t get there in time. He got away.”

A spokesperson for the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office told local media that while it is not out of the question that they will put an emphasis on patrolling the Clearwood community, their staffing is currently limited.

Homes in the community are selling on Zillow for between $300,000 and $750,000.
