Rapper Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son allegedly shot his stepfather during a domestic dispute with the boy’s mother.
Surveillance cameras captured the moment the boy allegedly grabbed the gun from his stepfather, Joshua Pippens, and then pointed his own weapon at him before firing.
In the video, Pippens, dressed in orange, can be seen trying to restrain the boy’s mother, dressed in purple.

The shooting happened on July 1, and Pippens has since spoken out from his hospital bed.
Pippens wrote in social media that he was not the aggressor and that the little boy was simply following his mother’s orders.
“As you can see, I was not the aggressor,” Pippens said online. “And you can also see that I still had my gun on my hip. He took my gun from my hip following his mother’s example and tried to shoot me and then he actually shot me.
“I had the gun on my hip and I was trying to protect myself from getting shot,” he explained.

Pippens suggested the argument may have been over custody arrangements for a child the couple shares.
“Whatever makes you feel better. That’s why I have custody of my kids and she doesn’t. All of you netizens think I was the one who shot and not her,” he wrote.
“Listen, nobody’s going to jail or they’d be there already. I’m doing this for the rights I have over my kids. Call me what you want. And besides, this was in my mom’s house, in front of my mom, my grandma and other kids. I pray that all of you get through whatever God is going to put you through for messing with me,” Pippens added.
