An innocent San Francisco florist saw her life ‘turned upside down’ after police exposed the secret criminal background of her longtime boyfriend she knew as ‘Randy.’
Officials told DailyMail.com that the unidentified woman was “shocked” by the revelation that her boyfriend, who had been living in her $4.3 million California mansion for the past 15 years, was actually a fugitive rapist from Massachusetts.
Former restaurant manager Tuen Kit Lee, 55, gained notoriety as the “bad breath rapist” after being convicted in September 2007 of breaking into a female colleague’s home and sexually assaulting her at knifepoint on September 2. February 2005.
He was reportedly wearing a mask over his face during the attack, but the victim recognized the odor on his breath because they worked together at the restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts, outside Boston. DNA tests later confirmed this.
Lee allegedly fled his trial before the jury handed down the conviction. Now, the US Marshals Service has revealed to DailyMail.com that he has been living a life of luxury in California with an unwitting girlfriend who knew him as “Randy”.

Chief Inspector Chris Tamayo said the couple has been living in a $4.3 million mansion in the small town of Diablo, which is about 20 miles east of the Bay Area.
Massachusetts and California state police tracked Lee to the house this year and waited outside for him to come out. He was seen leaving with his girlfriend before getting into a car at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers stopped the vehicle on Diablo Road before arresting Lee, who initially insisted his name was Randy. He later admitted that he was under pressure from the agents and fingerprints confirmed his true identity.
His girlfriend was horrified when officers broke the news to her about who ‘Randy’ really was, Tamayo said.
“She had absolutely no idea,” he told DailyMail.com. “The woman she was with had no idea who she was.
‘His life took a complete turn. I definitely feel sympathy for his situation. She couldn’t believe it.’
Lee was handcuffed and taken away by police officers in Diablo on Tuesday.

Tamayo said the woman owns a flower shop in San Francisco, which is about a 35-minute drive from her luxury apartment, and that Lee had been working at the store with her.
He said Lee had “given up everything from his past life” to flee and “created a new identity” to hide his horrendous criminal record.
Tamayo added that his victim, who has been waiting for closure in the case for almost 20 years, felt “a sense of relief” when police told him he had finally been arrested.
Photos posted on social media show Lee handcuffed next to a police van while surrounded by several officers.
Lee had been on the run for so long that the case went cold, but Tamayo said he was finally located after an “amazing” Massachusetts State Police officer relaunched the investigation about two years ago.

“He found a photo on social media that linked him (Lee) to California, which we were able to start working with and eventually identify him,” Tamayo said.
Lee was transported to Danville Police for booking on Tuesday, where he will remain detained pending his release to Massachusetts.
“There are violent criminals who believe they can commit crimes and not be held accountable for their actions,” Chief Inspector Sean LoPiccolo, acting commander of the Southwest Pacific Regional Fugitive Task Force, said in a statement.
“Tuen Lee was on the run for over 16 years and it is hoped that law enforcement’s unwavering dedication to locating and arresting him will bring peace of mind to the victim and his family.”
