Metro Boomin and 21 Savage, one of his songwriting partners, will face off at the NFL’s celebrity flag football game in Las Vegas, and former league MVP quarterback Cam Newton will also return to the action for the first time in three years.

The game will take place at Play Football Field at the Super Bowl Experience at the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center in Las Vegas on Friday, February 9 at 8 pm PST.

With tickets on sale for $25, fans will be able to see Newton flip dimes again, as he did during his eight seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2011-2019). He will team up with current Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, who is also on Boomin’s team.

Other members of the production team for the game include singer and dancer Teyana Taylor, wife of NBA champion Iman Shumpert, rapper Offset, food personality Keith Lee, internet comedians Mark Phillips and Funny Marco, and former wide receiver open AJ Greene.

Meanwhile, 21 Savage will captain a team that will feature former Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. The UK-born rapper also has current Falcons running back Bijan Robinson on his list, as well as director Cole Bennett, rappers JID, Duke Dennis and Tobe Nwigwe, and comedian Druski.

Usher will be the headline act at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. He will be the first independent artist to headline a Super Bowl.

“I have decided to step away from the system as we know it: I will be the first INDEPENDENT artist to play the Super Bowl,” he told Complex in October. “It’s a great time, you know what I’m saying?”

“Don’t get me wrong: legacy is obviously what gets you there because you have to have a catalog to be on that stage and the ability to captivate a crowd, but what I’m most proud to say is that I also represent all the independent artists .

‘This is a crescendo. This is like a big moment for me. “Thirty years ago, I decided I wanted this, and somehow I made it through a 30-year career.”
