Seasoned radio identity Ray Hadley has revealed a name on his guest list that many did not expect – his first wife Anne Maree.
And it was at the behest of his newest bride – the glamorous former secretary Sophie Baird.
Hadley said on Ben Fordham Live on Friday, telling listeners that Anne Maree, the mother of some of his now grown children, will be one of the benefactors on the NSW Central Coast Saturday afternoon.
“Anne Marie, who I was married to and we had Dan and Laura … she’s our grandchildren’s grandmother, she’s coming to the wedding at Sophie’s urging,” Hadley said.

‘She wants her to be there with the children and with the grandchildren, because it makes Dan and Laura happy, it makes me happy, it makes her happy.
“What she (Sophie) has done the most is strengthen my relationship with my children.”
Hadley proposed to Ms Baird – who was his personal assistant for 16 years – in October 2019 when he left home to host the NRL’s grand final between the Sydney Roosters and Canberra Raiders at Sydney Olympic Park.
The couple had to postpone their big day four times last year due to Covid-19.
With a combination of three previous marriages, the beloved couple has six grown children.
They include Daniel, 30, and Laura, 28, from Hadley’s first marriage to Anne Marie, Emma and Sarah from his second to Suzanne – and Nick, 21, and Jessie, 19, from Mrs. Baird’s previous marriage.
Last month Hadley, a former taxi driver, put on the market his sprawling Sydney mansion with two swimming pools, five bedrooms and ten parking spaces.
Hadley hopes to rake in more than $ 7 million for the estate, while other areas in the Hills District recently sold in the mid-$ 8 million mark.
He then plans to move with Mrs. Baird to a neighboring four-bedroom mansion after they tie the knot at media Tsar John Singleton’s Saddles restaurant.
The man who is called ‘Bolts’ in media circles does not feel like going off the air anytime soon.
The workaholic has long divided his time between Sydney and the Gold Coast, where he has had an apartment in Main Beach since 2004.
