Radio host Charlemagne Tha God has slammed the Dalai Lama after a video went viral that showed him kissing a young boy on the lips before telling him to suck his tongue.
On the latest episode of The Breakfast Club featuring Charlemagne, DJ Envy, and comedian Aida Rodriguez, the trio addressed the spiritual leader of Tibet and his inappropriate gesture that happened at a Dharamshala temple in India in February.
The viral clip showed the Indian boy asking the Dalai Lama, 87, for a hug, which eventually led to a kiss and tongue sucking.
“Don’t they have child services in Tibet?” Charlemagne said.
Rodriguez added, “I guarantee you he probably does when the cameras are off, you know?”

The Dalai Lama apologized shortly after the video emerged and dismissed the disturbing interaction as “hilarious”.
His Holiness often teases the people he encounters in an innocent and hilarious manner, even in public and in front of cameras. A statement posted on his Instagram account said he regretted the incident.
During his podcast, Charlemagne dismisses the Dalai Lama’s apology and his loyal followers insist his gestures were “cultural.”
I saw them say that this is Tibetan culture. Charlemagne said that people stick out their tongues as a sign of respect. “But nobody says you should ask a little kid to suck your tongue.” This is a completely different game.
He added, “The Dalai Lama wanted to be breastfed by a little boy. You should call it what it is.”
Charlemagne also questioned whether the Dalai Lama’s behavior was normal in Tibet. The people who witnessed the outrageous act seemed to laugh as the boy stood awkwardly in front of the Dalai Lama.
‘It’s an 87-year-old man talking to a child so young they had to smear his face,’ he said, ‘and then I made an apology.’ It’s just a simple apology. Is this just normal behaviour?
DJ Envy also criticized the spiritual leader’s apology and argument that he was “innocent”.
“He apologized and said he, you know, joked like that all the time,” said DJ Envy. “But what’s so funny about that, what’s so funny about asking a little boy to suck your tongue?”
Rodriguez said the act was “a heavy lapse of judgment”. The comedian added that she wondered what was going on between the Dalai Lama and his followers behind closed doors.
He will return with one of his philosophies. “In order to have a big life, you have to suck the old man’s tongue,” Rodriguez said, mocking the spiritual leader.
Of course, nothing will happen to him. I was actually shocked that he apologized. Because I mean, he’s apologizing as he responds to the backlash on social media. Charlemagne added, “There is no commotion going on in his country.”
The three agreed that they did not believe anything would happen to the Dalai Lama.

The trio were just a few of the public figures who spoke out about the disturbing video.
In a heated blog post on Monday, Cardi B slammed the Dalai Lama as a “predator.”
Cardi B (Belcalis Marlinis Almanzar) tweeted on Monday: “This world is full of predators. They prey on innocent people. Those who do not know more, our children.
The 30-year-old rapper continued: “Predators can be our neighbors, teachers at our school, even people with money and power and our churches. Constantly talk to your kids about boundaries and what they shouldn’t allow people to do with them.
The incident also brought some of the Dalai Lama’s past controversies back into the spotlight.
He’s previously faced backlash over his comments about the possibility of his successor being a woman, about refugees in Europe, Pakistan and India, Donald Trump, and his $1 million payment to attend an event hosted by NXIVM’s notorious sex cult. “.
