Radio host Brendan Fevola threatens Kyle Sandilands after on-air sledding

Radio hosts at war: Brendan Fevola warns rival Kyle Sandilands ‘you don’t want to piss me off’ after calling Fox FM’s breakfast show ‘awful’

There’s another breakfast radio war going on, this time between Kyle Sandilands of KIIS 106.5 and Brendan Fevola of Melbourne-based Fox FM.

Kyle, 50, fired the first shot on Tuesday by calling the police Fifi, Fev & Nick show ‘terrible’ – prompting the former AFL star, 40, to issue a stern on-air warning.

Brendan told Kyle to “be careful” with what he says because he has a fierce temper.

Tension: Another breakfast radio war is underway, this time between Kyle Sandilands of KIIS 106.5 and Brendan Fevola (pictured) of Melbourne-based Fox FM

The couple’s feud began when Kyle made a cameo appearance in The Masked Singer Australia Sunday night.

A news website then misquoted one of the show’s judges, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes, saying that he didn’t believe Kyle was actually performing on the show and instead hired a body double for the episode.

But he didn’t actually say that: it was in fact Brendan who made the suggestion while interviewing Hughesy Fifi, Fev & Nick on Monday morning.

He said, ‘I don’t think it was Kyle Sandilands performing, but when he took his head off, it was him! There was someone else in that suit.’

Kyle hit back at the accusation The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, saying ‘I sure was’ [during the performance]. There was no substitute.’

He went on to sled Fifi, Fev & Nick, calling it a ‘terrible’ breakfast radio show and saying ‘nobody cares about what’s happening in Melbourne’.

When he heard about Kyle’s comments later on Tuesday, an excited Brendan said, “He’d want to be careful. You don’t want to piss me off, I’m a different beast than Hughesy.”

“Didn’t he say he used to want to put one on Hughesy’s chin? Gosh, I hope he says that to me, if he says that to me, it’s on. Sandilands versus Fevola,” he added.

But Brendan didn’t stop there, telling Kyle that he needed to “grow up.”

‘Mate, grow up. Having a crack on our show… saying it’s a terrible show. We have a great show, she [Kyle & Jackie] have a great show. I listen to their show all the time, no need to get personal,” he said.

‘He’s a big man, I’m a big man. It’s not about him, it’s the truth… he has a soft spot for our city,” Brendan said, adding that Kyle “trying to take people down all the time.”
