Rachael Ray revealed she suffered “a couple of serious falls in recent weeks” after fans raised health concerns.

In early September, the 56-year-old left her fans concerned when she posted a cooking video in which she told an anecdote about the late Tony Bennett.

Social media users began commenting on his speech “dragging” and wondering if he was taking “medication” or experiencing a health “condition.”

Days later, Ra’sy’s rep responded to the speculation by issuing a statement saying the celebrity chef had “no comment” on the matter, via TMZ.

Now Ray has shared that he likes to do “physical work” around the house, but lately he’s had to cut back on certain tasks because he suffered “a couple bad falls” while carrying wood, in the debut episode of his podcast. I will sleep when I am dead.

Speaking clearly and cheerfully, Ray said: ‘I’m a housewife. I love housework. I love being in the kitchen. I’m always working with my brain every day, I’m always writing something, but I really like housework.’

He continued: ‘I like what people consider physical work. I like making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I love the physical work, helping to carry the wood.’

Ray then commented, “I’ve had a couple of bad falls in the last few weeks, so I haven’t done that in a while, but I love carrying wood.”

Referring to her husband John Cusimano, she said: ‘How many pieces of wood did John carry? Can I bring more? I don’t tell John that. I’m just telling myself that.’

The inaugural episode of Ray’s podcast was an interview with author Jenny Mollen, who is married to American Pie and Orange Is The New Black actor Jason Biggs.

In the same episode, Ray spoke candidly about the explosive disputes she has with her husband, to whom she has been married since 2005.

She reflected that “it’s very difficult, especially for irascible or creative or vociferous, shall we say, loud people to be able to just calm down.”

Ray confessed: ‘John and I never calmed him down. We have big shouting matches all the time. But I think that’s healthy, I really do, and I don’t trust people who are too quiet… Too quiet scares me. I’d rather you tell me what you think when you think it, and let’s just make it public, let’s make it public.’

When Mollen asked if Ray or Cusimano say sorry first after a fight, Ray admitted, “I don’t know if we ever apologize to each other.”

She explained: ‘Eventually, I’ll pat him on the butt or kiss me on the head, and that’s it. That’s the apology. It’s just understood: “It’s okay. I still like your butt.” “I still like your head.” It’s more or less in that area.’

Ray’s comments come more than a month after she sparked concern for her health among fans after posting a video that appeared to show her slurring her words.

She posted a preview of the new show, Rachael Ray in Tuscany, which showed her cooking Ossobuco while paying tribute to the late Tony Bennett.

However, when an emotional Ray recounted how Bennett hit his head on the marble counter and feared she had “killed him”, fans were left wondering about his own health.

One fan wrote: ‘Is she slurring or am I slurring’, while a second wrote: ‘I love you but are you okay? I’m seriously worried.’

Others wrote: ‘Is Rachel in any trouble?! I hope someone is as worried as I am.’, ‘Wait! What’s going on with Rachael Ray? and ‘She’s getting older like the rest of us.’ Maybe you have a medical condition, maybe you are taking medication. Anyway, there is no need to be mean.

‘What the hell is wrong with him? Messy hair, slurred words… wow, wow…’

Other viewers supported the star, writing: ‘What negative comments there are here. Leave Raquel alone. People are going through different things in life that we don’t know about. Let’s be kind.’

‘I love Rachael, I would give anything to cook with her and share some wine and laugh with her! ‘She is the most generous and talented person with so much heart, and deserves nothing more than the love and respect of her fans, she has mine!’

‘People leave it alone, menopause affects us all differently. Instead of putting it down, enjoy the delicious food and funny stories.’
