Celebrity cook Rachael Ray has made a heartbreaking confession about her friendships, revealing she was only once asked to be part of the wedding party of someone who wasn’t her own family member.
Ray, 56, opened up about his personal life during a new episode of his podcast. I will sleep when I am dead.
During this episode, he chatted with Food Network star Anne Burrell, who just so happened to be the friend he was talking about while telling his story.
Ray revealed that Burrell, 55, was the only friend who wasn’t her sister who had asked her to be at her wedding.
“I have to tell you, Anne, my own sister has been married several times and I was only able to be at one of her weddings,” the star admitted during the episode.
“The only person who ever asked me to be at their wedding, besides a member of my family, was you,” she told Burrell.
“It made me burst into tears, it was a great honor to be there, it was so much fun and it was freezing cold.”
The occasion took place just a couple of years ago, as Burrell got married in October 2021.

“It brought tears to my eyes, it was such an honor to be there, it was so much fun and it was so cold,” she said of Burrell’s wedding.
Burrell married Stuart Claxton, whom she met on the dating app Bumble, just two years earlier in 2018, according to People.
Ray served as maid of honor as the two tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at RedBarn20 at Windridge Estate, located in Cazenovia, New York, where Burrell is originally from.
In tune with the season, the Rachael Ray Show star wore a burnt orange bridesmaid dress that featured off-the-shoulder details at the neck.
During the podcast episode, the two continued to reminisce about the magical fall day.
“My husband is English, and I swear, he wanted that to happen, that misty English, you know, the moors or something,” Burrell said during the episode in a conversation with Ray.
“That weekend, the moment I left for the rehearsal dinner it started raining and didn’t stop until the moment Sunday brunch was over,” he continued.
But despite the weather, Burrell and Ray admitted the wedding was “a lot of fun,” and Ray even joked that she may have “over” her special day when she married her husband John M. Cusimano.
His trip down memory lane comes just weeks after Ray caused health problems among his fan base earlier this fall.

She caused some concern after posting a video that appeared to show her slurring her words.
The video was a preview of her new show, Rachael Ray in Tuscany, and showed her cooking Ossobuco while paying tribute to the late Tony Bennett.
At that time, his representative told him TMZ that she had “no comment” on the matter.
After some viewers shared their concerns, Ray admitted during his podcast premiere last week that he had suffered “a couple of bad falls” recently.
The celebrity chef shared that she likes to do “physical work” around the house, but lately she has had to cut back on certain tasks because she suffered “a couple of bad falls” while carrying firewood.
Speaking clearly and cheerfully, Ray said: ‘I’m a housewife. I love housework. I love being in the kitchen. I’m always working with my brain every day, I’m always writing something, but I really like housework.’
He continued: ‘I like what people consider physical work. I like making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I love the physical work, helping to carry the wood.’
Ray then commented, “I’ve had a couple of bad falls in the last few weeks, so I haven’t done that in a while, but I love carrying wood.”
