Quiplash, one of the best party games ever, is free on Steam this weekend

Quiplash, the hilarious lineup game for completing sentences from Jackbox Games, is available for free on Steam this weekend. The deal runs through April 26 at 1:00 PM ET.

Quiplash is without a doubt my family’s favorite game for group gatherings. (Technically we play Quiplash 2, including Jackbox Party Pack 3, but they are extremely similar games.) The premise is simple. At the start of a round, players are prompted to enter an answer privately on their smartphone or browser. Then everyone can vote on which response was best by seeing them against each other on the main screen (be it a TV, a Zoom call, a Twitch stream, etc.). More votes equals more points, and the person with the most points wins.

My family can spend hours in it Quiplash try to make each other cry tears of joy with increasingly ridiculous answers. After years of playing, we now have dozens Quiplashrelated in jokes (for my family reading this: SSQ), and there are even phrases we had to ban because people overused them. Best of all, Quiplash is very easy to play – all you need is a device with a browser. For the price of free, I definitely recommend picking it up.

Jackbox Games has a ton of its other games for sale as well, and you can browse those deals here.
